Dimock Center CEO Brings Clinical and Business Expertise to Revolutionary Oral Health Organization

DentaQuest, the nation’s leading purpose-driven oral health company, today announced that following a national search, Myechia Minter-Jordan, MD, MBA, was selected to serve as Executive Vice President and Chief Impact Officer for the DentaQuest Partnership for Oral Health Advancement. Dr. Jordan will join DentaQuest in October.

In her new role, Dr. Jordan will establish and drive overall strategic investments and partnerships to fulfill DentaQuest’s mission to improve the oral health of all, with a focus on systems change. She will lead the DentaQuest Partnership’s existing philanthropic and programmatic initiatives and align the team around new strategies and innovative approaches to deepen and accelerate DentaQuest’s impact. She will also work with a broad set of external stakeholders in business, government and academia to influence and drive policy and clinical changes that improve the health of millions of Americans.

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Jordan to DentaQuest,” said Steve Pollock, DentaQuest President and Chief Executive Officer. “She is a passionate and accomplished leader, and her unique combination of experiences made her the perfect match for our Chief Impact Officer role. Beyond her business skills, her clinical background will be important as we work to improve medical-dental integration efforts and sharpen our focus on population health.”

Dr. Jordan is currently President and CEO of The Dimock Center, the second-largest health center in Boston and a national model of comprehensive health and human services, where she previously served as Chief Medical Officer. As CEO, she played a leadership role in developing the Harvard Primary Care Center Initiative that partners academic hospitals and community health centers to transform them into patient centered medical homes. Through her work with the Harvard Catalyst Clinical and Translational Science Center, she also created an infrastructure for clinical research at Dimock, which ensures that patients are meaningfully engaged in the creation and approval of research initiatives.

In 2015, she was appointed to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Health Planning Council Advisory Committee and the Boston Public Health Commission. In 2018, she was appointed as Vice-Chair of the Board of the RIZE Fund, a statewide collaboration of substance use treatment providers, legislative leaders and funders that promotes and expands strong models to combat the opioid epidemic. She also serves on the Boards of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Yawkey Foundations, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and The Boston Foundation, on the President’s Council of Massachusetts General Hospital and on advisory boards for the Boston Children’s Museum, the YMCA and WBUR.

“I am thrilled to be joining the DentaQuest team,” said Jordan. “I look forward to bringing my experience in caring for vulnerable populations in an integrated and holistic manner to an organization that is serious about incorporating oral health into overall health, is focused on innovation and is driving transformative change at a national level.”

Dr. Jordan is a graduate of Brown University School of Medicine and Johns Hopkins University Carey School of Business, with an MBA in Health Services. She lives in West Roxbury, MA with her husband and two daughters.
