Rebekah Mathews began a new assignment as Director of Value-based Care for the DentaQuest Partnership for Oral Health Advancement on December 1, 2019.

Rebekah has worked with DentaQuest since 2006. As Director of Business Consulting within DentaQuest’s Impact Organization, the area of the enterprise focused on leveraging science, philanthropy and innovation to grow person-centered health strategies, Rebekah has specifically focused on incorporating and scaling these findings within the benefits business in areas like medical dental integration, value-based reimbursement and digital health engagement.

Previously, Rebekah oversaw DentaQuest’s business in Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana and South Carolina and has assisted DentaQuest in establishing itself as an oral health leader.

As the new Director of Value-based Care for the Partnership, Rebekah will take a national leadership role in the implementation, development, and promotion of oral health value-based care initiatives. Her responsibilities will include developing and implementing care improvement collaboratives with state-level partners to produce effective care model change that aligns with the mission and vision of the DentaQuest Partnership, as well as supporting an innovative team aimed at readying a care model for value based care by transforming care with external stakeholders and provider teams in the Partnership’s learning collaboratives, identifying evidence-based best practices, and convening stakeholders for open discussion on VBC implementation.

Rebekah is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in art history and a Master’s in Public Administration. She lives in Columbia, South Carolina where she is a member of the Junior League of Columbia, the United Way of the Midlands Health Council and a graduate of Leadership South Carolina.
