DentaQuest South Carolina Appoints Kevin L. Cooper as Executive Director
DentaQuest, a national leader in improving oral health and the administrator for South Carolina’s Healthy Connections Medicaid Dental Program, has hired Kevin L. Cooper as Executive Director.
Cooper comes to DentaQuest with 15 years’ experience in healthcare sales and business management. As Executive Director, he is responsible for DentaQuest’s partnership with the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) in the administration of the Healthy Connections dental program.
Prior to joining DentaQuest, Cooper was a Regional Operations Manager for Aspen Dental overseeing 10 practices in South Carolina. He also has served as National Channel Manager at McKesson Corporation. Cooper has held various sales leadership positions in pharmaceuticals and the healthcare services industry. He holds a Masters of Business degree from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health Science from Benedict College.
Cooper resides in Columbia, S.C.

SCDHHS, South Carolina’s Medicaid agency, provides dental coverage to approximately one million eligible members. Comprehensive dental services, including preventive, restorative and oral surgery procedures are available to eligible members through age 21. Eligible adults age 21 and over are able to receive $750 in covered dental services (including preventive, restorative and oral surgery procedures) each state fiscal year.
