DentaQuest Readers Join NEA's 2017 Read Across America Day
DentaQuest employees are joining others across the country to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the National Education Association's (NEA) Read Across America Day this March.
This year, NEA's Read Across America Day, which coincides with Dr. Seuss's birthday, aims to motivate and share the joys of reading with more than 45 million readers, both young and old.
To honor Dr. Seuss and celebrate the fun and value of reading, DentaQuest employees are visiting schools in Columbia, S.C.; Locust Hill, Va.; Lincoln, Neb.; Milwaukee and Mequon, Wisc.; Austin and Red Rock, Texas; Doral, Fla.; and the Greater Boston area. Participants will read aloud to students with books specifically related to taking care of your teeth, a message that aligns with our mission. The books will be one of these three: Throw Your Tooth on the Roof by Selby B. Beeler, The Tooth Book by Edward Miller, and Open Wide by Laurie Keller.
Our goal is to inspire a joy of reading and the importance of taking care of our teeth and gums – in a fun way. This is a great opportunity to help build a nation of thoughtful readers, as well as knowledgeable future health care consumers.
