DentaQuest Pledges Commitment to Advance Workplace Diversity, Inclusion

Coalition of More Than 270 CEOs Expands Reach, Impact across the Business Community

Boston – JULY 26, 2017 – DentaQuest recently pledged to advance diversity and inclusion at work as part of the first national coalition of its kind. Just one month after the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ launch, nearly 100 additional CEOs – including DentaQuest CEO and President Steve Pollock – have committed themselves and their organizations to create more inclusive and diverse workplaces. This extraordinary show of force builds on the energy from the launch and grows the potential impact of the pledge.
DentaQuest is pledging to challenge the status quo, to welcome diverse perspectives and promote practices that cultivate inclusion. As a double bottom line organization committed equally to both social impact and business growth, DentaQuest recognizes that a diverse and inclusive workforce facilitates community, but also drives innovation and creativity. In fact, research indicates diversity is a key component to fostering innovation.
“In all of our efforts to enhance employee experience and company culture, we encourage diversity of thought and perspectives, and now we pledge to work together to affect change in our industry,” said Pollock. “I am proud that DentaQuest is committing to leading by example – leveraging our many differences to uncover opportunity, improve communication, and ultimately help us better achieve our mission to improve the oral health of all.”
The coalition includes more than 270 signatories focused on collaboration and sharing. The nearly 250 actions shared on CEOAction.com showcase real-life examples of open and transparent conversations to cultivate more diverse and inclusive workplace environments. Growing this group not only improves each workplace, but expands the impact beyond the office to communities and industries. Signatories will convene at a Summit in November to discuss longer-term growth strategies that will advance the agenda. 
The CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ is led by a steering committee of CEOs and leaders from Accenture, BCG, Deloitte US, The Executive Leadership Council, EY, General Atlantic, KPMG, New York Life, Procter & Gamble, and PwC. The coalition represents 70 industries, all 50 U.S. States, and millions of employees globally.
