DentaQuest Hires Dan Sheehan as Chief Information Officer

Proven IT Veteran of Modell’s and Dunkin’ Brands Brought in to Assist Expansion

DentaQuest today announced that it has appointed Dan Sheehan as its new Chief Information Officer. Sheehan has helped enhance the customer-facing technology capabilities of several high-profile companies, most recently serving as the Chief Operating Officer of Modell’s Sporting Goods and as the Chief Information Officer of Dunkin’ Brands. “Dan has been a proven leader in the technology field, helping numerous companies face challenges and find corresponding solutions to best to meet their customers’ needs,” said DentaQuest Chief Operating Officer Steve Pollock. “As an expanding company, DentaQuest looks forward to employing Dan’s strong skill set to enhance our responsiveness to members and providers.” At Modell’s Sporting Goods, Sheehan led eCommerce, information technology and visual merchandising. Similarly, at Dunkin’ Brands, he coordinated all of the technology assets at a company with more than 18,000 points of distribution in 57 countries worldwide. Prior to that, Sheehan held senior IT management positions at The Coca-Cola Company, Georgia Pacific and Morton International. “This is an exciting time to be at DentaQuest, and I’m looking forward to taking a good interface system with providers and members and making it truly great,” said Sheehan. “The leadership at DentaQuest has made it clear that responsiveness to the people we serve is a top priority, a principle that has guided me throughout my professional career.” DentaQuest is the third largest oral health enterprise in the United States and the largest in the Medicaid space. It works with its partners to provide an emphasis on preventive health practices, improving access to care while controlling costs by averting costly dental procedures in the future. Along with its charitable DentaQuest Foundation and its educational DentaQuest Institute, its mission is to improve the oral health of all. Sheehan earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems from Suffolk University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Salem State College. He is a resident of Easton, Massachusetts.
